cyan waves to the mechanic then tries to drive out of the city

Cyan drives out of the military area and down the main road towards the front entrance to the city. The outside wall is gigantic with a giant pair of metal double doors closed. There are many guards up on the top of the wall patrolling the area. On the ground on either side of the door are 2 huge mounted machine guns that are manned and there are 3 guards standing by the door.

As Cyan approaches the gate a guard with an assault rifle walks out of the nearby guard station and signals for him to stop.

The guard nods to him and signals to the other guy in the guard station to open the gate. The giant doors slowly slide open until it is open enough to let Cyan's car through. The 3 guards standing by the door move aside to let Cyan through.

The giant doors open up to a bridge that crosses a deep moat that surrounds the entire city. On the other side of the moat is an electrified fence with barbed wire on it that seems to surround the entire city. There is another gate on the other side of the bridge with many armed guards at the inside of the gate and another guard station. As Cyan crosses the bridge he can see that there are many cars and tents set up on the other side of the fence as far as the eye can see, with a main road that goes through all of the tents. There is a crowd of civilians on the other side of the gate yelling, "Let us in, we deserve to enter the city... You can't leave us out here to die." As Cyan approaches the gate one of the armed guards speaks to the crowd with a megaphone, "We are opening the gate to let someone out of the city. Step back from the gate, if you try to resist you will be shot. I repeat, step back from the gate." The gate slowly slides open to let Cyan through and the crowd reluctantly moves away from the gate.

Cyan drives out eventually leaving the big group of refugees and tents. He drives East for a couple of hours across countryside until he reaches an intersection in the road. There is a sign that points forward, East and reads "Desert Realm - Sun Mountain via Mantegna". A sign pointing left, North reads "Sky Harbour" and a third sign pointing right, South reads "Dancetill Bay".

cyan turns off to dancetill and the seer queens home

Cyan drives South for a day, the 4wd rolls along a bumpy dirt road. The landscape is green and lush, with streams and lakes alongside the road, as well as dense forest. The ride is long and bumpy. The inside of the 4wd shakes every few seconds as it makes its way down the road...

The next morning Cyan arrives in Dancetill Bay, driving along the main road of the town. Dancetill Bay is a gorgeous city, the buildings are all made of a shining white marble that casts shadows that seem to glow through the light of the rising sun. It seems that the spread of Kasdeya's darkness has not yet reached this city, but there is still a sense of fear spread throughout the town. There are only a few people walking the streets, moving fast in groups from place to place, not stopping to dawdle or chat with their friends. There are also many armed guards who wear the uniform of the United Directorate Army, patrolling the streets.

Cyan can see a mansion that is at the top of a small hill in the distance.

cyan looks for a good place to observe the mansion

Cyan drives down the main road for a bit until he has a clear view of the mansion. It is a wonderfully built mansion 3 stories high. Cyan can see nobody outside the front of the mansion and no cars there.

Cyan notices that one of the armed guards is walking towards his car...

cyan flicks the safety off his pistol and loosens his knives, then starts to check around him for snipers or anything unusual, also takes off his seatbelt

On closer inspection of the town, Cyan notices that there are 2 hidden, strategically placed mounted heavy machine guns on the rooftops of buildings covering the entrance of the main road that goes into town. The heavy machine guns are not currently pointing in Cyan's direction at all.

The guard approaches the side of Cyan's car with his assault rifle in a ready position. "What brings you into this town?" he says suspiciously to him.

with a grin cyan answers the guard "would u believe tourism?" and flashes his ID

"Oh sorry, we have to be extra careful now that Sun Mountain has been invaded. Security is extra tight now because of it. Is there anything that I can help you with?" The guard says as he slings his gun over his shoulder.

keeping an eye on the guns "anything unusual or anyone unusual been through here in the last week?" cyan grins "apart from me"

The guard shrugs, "Nope, things have been pretty quiet here lately, but we don't expect that to last for long with Kasdeya's invasion. We are all being constantly notified over the secure radio waves of any activity that is happening. So far, Kasdeya's army hasn't done anything after the invasion of Sun Mountain, besides taking over all of the towns in the Desert Realm. The United Directorate has been sending out notifications to the public that the Desert Realm is now a restricted zone, now that all of the towns have been taken over in the Desert Realm and with Sky Harbour destroyed, there is nothing to go to in the Desert Realm.

I even heard that all of the people that have escaped the towns and last remaining sky cities in the Desert Realm have all fled to Feildel to seek refuge, but that the capital isn't letting in anymore refugees because the city has reached its full capacity. Things are getting bad and I expect that it will only get worse. I hope the generals of the army are preparing for an attack on Sun Mountain soon, we really need to fight back before it gets too late."

cyan nods "its grim at the capital, im looking for the seer queens home do you know where it is?"

"Yeah, well that's the Seer Queen's mansion over there," he points at the mansion on the small hill, "I don't know if she is currently in or not though... Well, I'm sure you have work to do, have a good day," the guard raises his hand to Cyan to say bye and walks off to patrol the town.

cyan tries to head to a good observation point to look at the mansion

Cyan drives down the main road and turns into a small road that goes up the hill towards the mansion. The small road ends at a roundabout in front of the entrance to the mansion. There is a huge pair of double doors. There is a big water fountain in a nice garden at the center of the roundabout and the grounds of the mansion is a nice garden full of a lot of greenery.

cyan gets out of the car and pulls out his binoculars and starts to scan the building and grounds for any activity or security

All of the windows are closed with the curtains covering the windows so that Cyan can't see anything inside the mansion. To his right, far to the East he can see a gardener working on the plants, she seems to be paying no attention to Cyan and is continuing to work.

cyan secures his combat and basic survival gear, locks up the car and heads over to the gardener keeping an eye on the windows
