There are several busy streets stretching away , and the buildings go to the horizon. It's a big city. One of the guards leads you through the streets for an hour and a half, until you come upon a large palace. "He's in there." The guard isn't very helpful, and leaves you standing inside the palace grounds with no guide.
The main chamber has a throne at the end, with an advisor next to it. On the throne is a young man in his twenties who looks very out of place on a throne. The advisor is an old man with jet black hair, and he gives martin a disgusted look as he approaches. "What business does the Seer Queen send you to me for?" asks the king.
"We don't work for the Seer Queen, we just happen to have similar interests you see, we can help each other, your land and the entire world is under attack from a dangerous evil which is the Blood Lord Niac. We have come to ask you to join us and unite with the rest of this world to fight against this common enemy, the only way that we can defeat this evil is if we all join forces, otherwise the Blood Lord Niac will destroy this world and your kingdom with his greed and evil. So, will you join us?"
The king seems to think it over, then turns to his advisor. "Your majesty, these people are allied with the Westmen. They can't be trusted. You should have them banished." The advisors argument is poor, and lacking any real strength. The king looks at the group. "I will consider your request. I will send a messenger to the Seer Queen to ask for confirmation. If this is true you will have my full support. If not, I will banish you from my land."
Martin walks over to Emilia and says to her so that the king can't here, "Don't worry about it, they're just another faction, it doesn't really matter, lets just go and do what we have to do so that we can get the **** out of here"
As Martin leaves, the advisor quickly whispers something to the king. "GUARDS!" he yells. "Seize that man and his companions and take them to the guest quarters. They are not allowed to leave until we are sure they are not Westmen." The guards aim their weapons at Martin and Emilia, and a few troops go outside to apprehend the rest of the group.
"Martin, put your gun down. They're not taking us to prison, they said 'guests'" Naru says, then turns to the guards "We don't need, nor do we want to fight you."
"Somebody has a short temper today. Not that I can blame you though." Naru says to Emilia, while running and smothering the grenade with her bag, hoping to stifle the smoke.
The smoke spread quickly, and begins to choke Naru. Martins leg snaps as the bullet goes straight through, breaking it. The guards rush through the smoke and tackle the team to the ground, taking their weapons and equipment. They are dragged down into a dungeon and thrown into a cell.
"Well this is bloody fantastic. Just as well we do actually have backing from the Seer Queen, otherwise we'd be even more screwed. The king is totally going to want to join the cause now we've acted hostile towards his guys."
"Yeah whatever, I would've gotten away if it wasn't for you", Martin says to Emilia angrily, "I didn't sign up for this ****, we're supposed to be in Africa". Martin grits his teeth and winces at the pain in his leg as he rips one of his pants legs and wraps the fabric around the gun wound in his leg as a makeshift bandage to stem the blood-loss.
