Codenamed: “The Dirtfight”

Briefing:
The team has gathered in the familiar room with the podium and projector known as the briefing room. They take their seats as Mr Hanson approaches the podium. He clears his throat.
“Well, it’s nice to see you all here on time for once. The reason for this meeting, as you may have guessed, is because we finally have a window of opportunity in Libya. You will be parachuting in, using extreme caution so as to not alert the military of either the US or Libya. We can’t get a direct drop on the other facility, but we can get you into a small clearing just south of it by 1 kilometre. From there, you must transverse the jungle until you find the entrance. Remember, the first one was a testing ground for the technology that was developed for this bigger one. You can assume that it will get very weird, very fast, and that this time it won’t be so merciful. Any questions?”

"Very weird, very fast ey?"

Emilia stands up and produces an unknown powder in her hands.

"It appears you know something, if you were to make a statement like that. Care to share?"

Hanson looks at Emilia with a tired face.
"You keep threatening me and I will have you court martialled. I am your boss. You're lucky I put up with your crap at all."

The powder in her hands turns bright red.

"Very well," Emilia smiles, "but I just want all the details. I don't want anyone dying out there."

" Emilia leave the old man alone, jesus." Andrew says lazily from under his akubra hat.

"You are going in to find out the details. That's the idea." Hanson looks bored.

"Spill, hurry up about it.." Andrew says. " What so special about Libya?"

"I'm going to explain this very slowly. We. Do. Not. Know. The. Facts. That is what you are for."

Andrew strokes his Cheynnes Intervention. " How about the guards of the facility? Anything on that? or just shoot to kill?"

"Your actions when in the facility are yours to make and nobodies to judge. Use whatever means necessary to find out what is going on there."

"Your excitement thrills me. It really does."

The powder turns to yellow.

"We should get going then. Hanson really needs this information. I can just see it is killing him inside," Emilia says, completely ignoring Hanson.

She then looks at him and laughs.

The powder is now blue.

Hanson stares blankly at Emilia.
"Are there any more questions from the rest of the team?"

"Burn in hell old man." Andrew walks out of the room " Ill be waiting on the plane" he calls back.

Hanson looks at Andrew as he leaves.
"Sometimes I wonder why I took this job." He mutters to himself.
"Any other questions, or do the rest of you want to head to the plane too?"

Emilia brings the powder up to her mouth and blows on it, making the powder fly into the air.

The light from the projector hits the powder and creates a soft haze that fills the room.

"The simplest things in life are beautiful, Mr Hanson. Don't forget it."

She smiles and walks out of the room.

Hanson looks at the haze with an uninterested face.

Martin watches Andrew leave the briefing room slightly annoyed and then turns to Mr Hanson, "Have you been able to get any satellite images of the base to see how heavily guarded it is from the outside and what we're going to be facing on the outside and on a side-note, this mission briefing sounds strangely familiar to a game that I've played on my laptop... I play too many games."

After the last mission Martin has restocked all of his equipment, getting a new high-powered laptop and replacing everything that he has lost in the last mission. Along with all of his normal equipment, Martin has also brought with him a pair of high-tech prototype special US military binoculars, which along with its normal functionality, also has customisable heat-vision and night-vision features. Martin has also brought with him a torch, good quality rope and a bunch of radios, which he hands out, one to each team member. "I thought these radios would come in useful in case we get separated again"

"I'm afraid the radios have wasted your money, Martin. On the plane you will all receive throat microphones and ear pieces. As for the satellites photo's, we can't see anything as the entrance is covered by thick jungle. Thermal shots are also disrupted by the natural heat spots throughout the jungle."

"Ah well, that's fine, I can use the radios for something else later then, as long as we'll be able to communicate to each other if we get separated, that's the main thing. Well, I guess there's nothing more to discuss, lets get going then" Martin leaves the briefing room and proceeds to the aircraft for take off...

The rest of the team boards the plane and it roars down the private runway. It takes off and climbs steadily through the sky. It is a military stealth bomber. The cargo bay had been reconfigured into a drop preparation area. The team is gathered onto the seats bolted to the walls of the cargo bay. A man in army fatigues enters from the cockpit.
"Hello drop troops!" he yells over the roar of the engines.
"I trust you were all properly briefed!"

"Yep, we sure were", Martin says as he pulls out a cigarette and lights it up, taking a puff of smoke...

"I just have one question for you. Are you a Hanson fan?"

" Waaake mee up, wheen semptember eeends" Andrew falls asleep.

The jump guide looks at Emilia.
"Who the hell is Hanson?"

"There is no need for Green Day here mate"
