Naru starts and coughs. "8 days!"

"Well thank you for your help", Martin says to the lady. He then finds a nice bench to sit down on and sits there to relax...

Suddenly, two gunshots echo across the village. The town stops for a moment, then rushes toward the sound.

Martin hears the gunshots and doesn't react to it, he just stays seated and says "meh, not my problem. I wish I had my cigarettes", he then leans back against the wall and closes his eyes to relax...

Naru takes out her mini computer to check whether it still works after the weirdness from before.

It can turn on, but is unable to connect to any systems like the internet or satellites, due to the lack of internet and satellites.

Martin continues to relax, waiting for the town to arrive at the Inventor's house...

Naru sits down cross legged on the floor and rests her head against the wall, and begins to nod off.

After a while, the village stops. The village leader approaches Martin and Emily.
"This is your stop. The engineer is right below us."

"Ok, how do we get down there?"

"We'll toss a rope ladder down. Ready to go?"

"Yep", Martin gets up ready to go, Naru also wakes up and is ready to go

The ladder leads down to the desert, next to a little hut. In the distance, you can see a woman collapsed on the ground.

Martin runs up to the woman collapsed on the ground and has a closer look to see if she is alive...

It is Emilia. She is breathing shallowly, and appears to be suffering from exhaustion and dehydration.

"Oh my god, Emilia are you alright!?" Martin sits her up and hands her a bottle of water...

She remains unconscious.

Seeing that Emilia is actually unconscious, Martin picks up her body and carries her to the door of the hut, knocking on the door...

It opens, revealing a huge man with a large, thick...beard.
He looks at them, uninterested.
"What do you want?"

"Hello, we need your help, she's unconscious"

"I can see that."
He sighs.
"Bring her in and put her on the bed."

Martin carries Emilia into the house and lays her on the bed, "Thank you for your help, is there anything that you can do for her?" Martin asks the big man.

Naru also enters the hut

Emilia regains consciousness before the man can reply.

"Emilia, are you alright?"

Emilia quickly opens her eyes and looks towards Martin. Petrified, she moves herself into a ball and stares straight into Martin eyes. She quickly glances at Naru then back at Martin, creating a syringe as she does so.

"Don't hurt me. Please don't hurt me," she cries, still holding the syringe. She stabs it into her leg and pushes the plunger. "He will kill you. He will kill all of us."

She starts rocking and speaking really fast.
"He was in my mind, my mind, my mind. MY MIND."
