"I'd prefer to hear this first hand if you don't mind Emilia" says Naru, lowering her gun.

"Then I have your trust also, sir"

The man releases Martin and turns back to the window.

Emilia walks over to the window.

"What are you looking at?"

"The snow. It's really quite a nice view, and since I found myself with a few minutes to spare I thought I would spend them gazing out there."

"Yes, it is quite lovely. Anyway, was there something you wanted to tell us?"

"Fuck", Martin gasps for air. "Why is it that your willing to talk now when you were trying to kill us before?"

"Well, I was following instructions. I have no instructions saying I can't chat to you. We both thought you would all still be in the maze."

"Yeah, that was quite interesting."

Emilia looks around the room.

The room is empty. There is only the entrance staircase and the window.
"Am I boring you?" The gunman asks with a smile.

"So what, you don't want to kill us anymore and what is going on here, I would like some answers or do you just plan to stare at the snow all day?"

"I never wanted to kill you. Our encounters have been a matter of circumstance. I only have about 2 minutes before I must leave, so I cannot spend all day watching the snow as much as i would like."

"So what did you want to do?"

"Do you know what sort of experiments are going on here, or how we can find out exactly what is going on?"

"Incapacitate you and your team. Slow you down. Maybe kill one or two." He said to Emilia.
Then to Naru, "I'm afraid you're going to have to find that out on your own." He smiles apologetically.
"One minute left."

"Have you got instructions to kill?"

"Only if I need to, dear girl."

"Then you don't really need to, you want to, don't you?

"Are you trying to tempt me or something? Do you want to die? Is that it?" he turns towards Emilia and stares deep into her eyes. His eyes are chaotic and destructive.

"Of course not"

Emilia smiles back.

"Why are you doing this?"

"Oh good." He returns to a pleasant manner.
"It appears I am out of time. I should be going now."
He punches the window outwards with his hand.

"May I follow you?"

He turns to Emilia and laughs.
"That is most unwise."
He dives out the window, and falls into a hatch that had opened in the snow.
Seconds later, the snow field explodes.
The explosion is massive, originating from the middle of the field and obliterating it. The shock wave throws the team backwards, almost throwing them down the stairs. It cracks the ice around which the facility is made. Alarms go off and go out, with power cutting out.

Naru lights up the area using her ability and jumps up, running to the window to have a look outside.
