Yeah, your absolutely right emilia, the whole movie was stupid, it was like some kind of insult to the whole disaster movie genre. I was very disappointed when I saw this movie when the director had made so many great disaster movies before like Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow. The puns in the movie were just horrible like Emilia said, which just made the movie worse. Independence Day had a few bad puns like that, but the great story and actors like Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum kept that movie moving in the right direction.

2012 had nothing of the sort, and the worst part is that the story isn't even original, it is basically a copy of the story of The Day After Tomorrow, the only difference is instead of global warming causing an ice age, the sun is melting the Earth's core, which sounds even more ridiculous. The only good thing about the movie is the special effects, there is this one awesome scene when they are escaping in a car driving through the city while the whole city is falling apart, that scene was pretty spectacular. It would be worth it just seeing that one scene of the movie, but not much else lol.

It was like the director just wanted to make some flashy scenes with awesome effects and decided to put a crap movie around it, basically copying the story from his previous film, what a lame ass job, that movie could have done so much better if they put some proper work into it.
