They are a really good band.

If you haven't heard OF them, like i hadn't, then you will have defiantly heard them. They aren't like any other band I've heard before, but you will be better off if you download some of their songs.

Teardrop is Massive Attack's most famous song. It is a very different style to most music, yet this band has influenced a lot of music that is listened to today.

I listened to a couple of tunes by massive attack...they are pretty good. I recognised a few as well.

There is some of the best beats music can find in massive attacks music, its just subtle. You actually have to listen to the music to understand it, but at the same time, is good music just to have on (say while driving) as it just washes over you.

Turn the bass up with Massive Attack, especially Teardrop = AWESOME!

In the album Mezzanine, all the songs sound like there is a heart beating.

Those genres are all very similar sounding.

Plus Massive Attack is electronica.

I've been a big Massive Attack fan for a while now nothing better than some trip hop straight outta Bristol . If you like them, Emilia, check out Portishead, DJ Shadow and, if you're really daring, Aphex Twin

Trip hop is a mix of hip hop, house, downtempo, psychedelic rock and electronica, mixed with dance.

Rave, techno and hardstyle have similar roots, so they do sound similar.

Exactly. Wouldn't you call MA a trip hop band? I would anyway it's very downtempo and psychedelic, but still has hip hop tinged feels and a dancy beat.

Rave etc are usually faster and heavier, more dance music then trip hop. For me, trip hop is moody, mellow and calm, but sometimes brings in the heavy distorted bit . Except for trance, which is kind of psychedelic and minimalistic, but not as technical or hip hop influenced as trip hop.
