I love Doctor Who. I absolutely love it. I've only seen the new
episodes though, I haven't read anything or seen any of the old seasons.

I enjoyed the 10th doctor more than the 9th. The tenth made me laugh
more, he had a good sense of humour. The ninth doctor was a little
melancholic for my liking, but the Time War had just ended when he
regenerated, so it was understandable. Plus, he's the reincarnation
that Rose fell in love with.

It makes a lot more sense when you watch the whole episode and listen to what they say ^.-

That one MiniMan is talking about is a time travelling one. They go back in time, and the dude who got hit, had to in order for the time line to be restored. It makes more sense in the actual episode, I can't do it enough justice really.

Yeah that's fair enough. That episode would have been played in 2005 or 2006. I watched it a couple of weeks ago, so that's why I know it in detail (I have the first two seasons on dvd).

I really like that episode. Rose meets her dad (they who got hit by the car) because she was only a baby when he died. And she saves his life, which causes these monsters to come because he's meant to be dead. So he ends up deciding to throw himself in front of the car in order to restore time.

And it's so cool, because Rose meets her present day boyfriend, who is about 3 at that time. He clings to her and won't let go, and he does that in the present day as well Dr Who Icon_lol

No, not really. I like him though, he's a bit of a chicken but he's sweet, and he turns brave in the end.

It's complicated. The three of them (Mickey, Rose and the doctor) went to this alternate reality and met Rickey, Mickey's other self. Rickey died trying to escape from the Cybermen.

Nah, Mickey decides to stay in the alternate reality, because his Gran is alive there and he can do a lot to help out. Eventually Rose ends up with him there because of a rift between the two worlds.

I saw it when it came out in england....

HOLY ****************** IT IS AWESOME
'nuff said.

And the guy who got hit by the car would have been ROse's dad, in the episode Father's Day, season one.
Rose's dad got hit by a car when she was a baby; Rose goes to see his death but, not thinking, saves him from the car (and, hence, poopes up time and space cause he should have died)
Then she sees and touches a baby version of herself and a hole is blown apart in time and space and those 'bug' things come though and try and kill everyone
so Rose's dad has to die by the car, which is going in circles cause it doesn't know what to do cause it didn't hit anyone
So he sacrifices himself
Sad ep Sad but brilliant

Yessss Smile have you been keeping up with it? This season, there's only a two week difference between their UK airing and their Australian airing, but I'm still dling them the moment they're shown in England Razz

I like the new guy. In the first ep, he was written to be pretty much exactly the same as David Tennant's Doctor, who I love of course, but I'd like to see Matt Smith develop his own character. He does start to differentiate himself in the next two episodes, which is good Very Happy

Oh, and btw, the fourth and fifth eps of this series will see the return of the Weeping Angels from Blink xDDDDDD SOOOOOOO EXCITEEEDDDDDDDDDD

The reason why the 11th Doctor is written the same as Tennant's is because they're the exact same man, only with a different body that he's not yet used to Razz

Having said that, I've seen episodes two and three already, and Matt's Doctor is less exuberant than the 9th and 10th. I'm loving him Smile

What dyou guys think about Amy Pond, his new companion? I think there's something up with her, something isn't quite right...But I reckon we'll have to wait until the end of the season to find out what it is Razz But she seems nice and I'm looking forward to when she goes back to her time and place.

Yeah, I like her, but she seems as though she already knows the Doctor (not including her encounter with the Raggedy Doctor, of course Razz)

And, nah to your first statement because, for example, Eccleston's 9th Doctor was much harsher and less playful compared to Tennant's 10th, and, going back to the old series, there were some crankier ones and some more joking ones, etc. Every Doctor has their own personality (to an extent - we're not going to get some mass murderer). You'll notice but, in Matt's first ep, he does everything pretty much exactly the same as Tennant, to the point where you can imagine Tennant doing it instead, saying the same lines.

But yeah, you can tell in the third episode that Matt's Doctor is developing more of his own character. I like him Smile excited for the return of the Angels?
