There are a few new names that were logged on that night - Hungparrot, Brochimin, CDunc. You sure it happened at that time though? Because I stopped the server at about 8 for a reset and the new players didn't log on again afterward.

That was the date we discovered it. It could have been at any time or date. Additionally, I have been promoting the server on Tumblr, so that could be the reason why there are those new people.

The thing is, because of all the open ground lava pools, it's pretty easy for even a new player to get a lava bucket - though I think that fire is still nerfed, so it should be okay.

Description:
CDunc's house has been destroyed with what looks like fire. Roof and second storey gone. House was fine 12 hours ago.

Can lightning catch houses on fire?

Did this happen after I turned on the basic Minecraft server rather than Bukkit? I think lightning can catch houses on fire, and if bukkit wasn't on then fire would spread easily.

However, rain should put the fire out

Date discovered: Wednesday 30th November at 10.50am

Description:
The Lookout Tower has been griefed. As we had lava and water on different floors, they broke the blocks underneath to let the materials through.
Forest room has had all of the trees and other materials removed.

that sucks, so much time and effort to make things then even longer to fix them. The server is a bit funny at the moment tried to go on and stopped working almost immediately???

I'm in ok. Though chunks are taking a little while to load.
