IN THE FUTURE

1. The 2 child only policy will be enforced not by registering the amount of births a woman has, but by the efficiency of random people telling population control they think someone is hiding a kid.

2. The population control will deal with the excessive population by putting the kids in a place where they can easily be sold back to their former families at a whims notice instead of actually "controlling the population".

3. Even though it is a simple and quick payment to a stranger in order to get your illegal daughter back you're better off committing assault against 4 cops and getting 10 years jail.

4. Jails of the future are harsh. So harsh that people can walk in and give you any item without it being checked.

5. If you have a laser then no maximum security prison can hold you.

6. Bags with very important documentation can be left in the street of poor neighbourhoods as people have realized stealing is a sin in 2149.

7. The most important project/operation in the history of the world will have documentation and security issues easier to bypass then a toll bridge.


IN THE PAST

8. Again, despite the importance of the project, if a man jumps through the portal with a gun a child in an obviously forced attempt it's totally cool.

9. Bike armour protects you from nothing, doesn't look cool and is very impractical. But hey. That's how they roll.

10. Guns are 5 times as big as they used to be but far less effective and intelligent.

11. A time travel issue gets revealed. In the future, sons love their dads. In the past, they instantly become emo and resent them.

12. They've solved humanites problems and don't have to deal with issues in the future like war and greed at Terra Nova. Thus the fighting between the two settlements and armed guards everywhere must be a police action and probably about 'freedom'.

13. Conveniently, if your pining for your ex-girlfriend an overly friendly, similar aged girl will show up and be really interested in you.

14. Orientation is akin to torture.

15. Nobody ever notices 15m tall dinoasaurs first except children.

As for 13, I said to James that the boy falls in love with the girl, but then his girlfriend arrives at Terra Nova

1. Josh is in love with his girlfriend. Skye knows this, so she should **** off. Plus, the plot seems predictable here. Josh will fall for Skye, this his girlfriend will arrive on Terra Nova. Mijy predicts this will happen in Episode 5. I think it will have in Episode 7, which means it will happen in Episode 6 for sure.
Basically, this event just says that teenagers don't know what true love is and throw I love you all over the place.
JOSH! The necklace is significant.

2. In saying that, I think Josh is a ****. In the first episode, he denies his father and now he just pretty much runs loose. Yeah, he is protective of his sisters and things, when they were in their house and the birds were coming in, but hey, got to impress Skye.

3. Which leads me to the Reynolds + Maddy thing going on. I HOPE that relationship goes somewhere. He is an officer, but he isn't a ****. Waiting for the first kiss.

4. Speaking of other *****, Dr Wallace with Dr Shannon, yeah, it was obvious what he wanted. The chemistry between the two characters made me so uncomfortable, like she still has a thing for him. Don't forget who the hero is here...it's your HUSBAND, who fought to keep the daughter that even you wanted to have but weren't allowed to. Yeah, he went to jail for a few years, but why was the thought of having sex with him in the first episode so weird, then in comes your ex boyfriend and then you think, ooh, I forgot...I have a husband.

5. The episode was all about love and sex. Those dinosaurs coming back to breed. I thought that was quite interesting and how they stopped Shannon and Jim getting it on, but I am happy that they found a way to move them and not kill them. That was the impression that Commander Taylor was giving initially: kill them, but wouldn't that just be repeating the past and how the earth started to die. Glad that got sorted out.

6. Next episode, I think there will be something about the Sixers, because there was nothing in this one. Should be interesting.

Overall impression: I think this show has characters you love to love and love to hate. Will continue to watch to see what will happen to civilisation.
