Yeah I'm an organ donor, if I die, everything can be taken.

Not registered, but i will donate my organs.

I believe organ donation should be compulsory.

Everybody should donate their organs, but I don't think it should be compulsory because people should have the right to choose and some people have strong beliefs in religion or the afterlife where they think that they must keep their organs even after death.

They're trying to bring in an opt-out system. So everyone is automatically registered unless you tell the government you don't want it. I agree wholeheartedly with it.

I'm registered, I think I told them they can have everything except my skin tissue.

why did you exclude skin tissue?

Because if I die and my body isn't mangled and my family want to display the body in the coffin/cremation boxy thing, they can do that.

I agree with this opt-out system idea, should happen.

I need to register actually, I want to be a donor. they can take everything because id like to be cremated. mainly because i believe that we need all the land we can get for the future and as im dead i think its kinda creepy when u look into open caskets... ive been to 3 funerals and just dislike the idea..

Also it means that i can transfer my evil organs into another person which will then infect the rest of their system and when they die their organs may also be transfered to another meaning i would be starting to take over the world BUWHAHAHA

Now lets just say you were afflicted with a certain disease that prevented you from being an organ donor per se. What about donating your entire body to science? To help with medical education and research since the study of human anatomy requires a body...would anyone be willing to gift a medical school or research institution your vessel? FYI, you get cremated after all is said and done because practically every part of you is dissected.

well if u weren't able to donate ur body due to a certain disease.. wouldn't you only be able to donate your body to the research group examining that disease; and how would u even be able to go about it?

I think if you knew you were dying of cancer or something, you could contact the right people to tell them you'd like them to have your body.

Yes I am, it's marked on my license, and I hope that every useful part is used.

That being said, I would not agree with it being compulsory.

I'm not a donor yet, but I will be one. I am going to talk to my family first about what I plan to do.

Yesterday, I saw Donate Life in the city. I should have gone up and said hello, but I was busy.

I think its the fact that the whole medical thing creeps me the **** out.

Plus id rahter die in one piece than in several.

They don't take your organs until after you're dead Miniman So you'd still die in one piece, just buried/cremated missing some.

But still, no, maybe if some family needed them but i wouldnt give them to some random....
