I see you guys have a chat box, but it looks like its not used very often. I know some forums have a chat box that's actually on the same main page without having to click a separate link to access it. My clan forum has that, and it actually works pretty well. Maybe there's a phpBB chatbox addon that will let you do that?

Our previous forum used to have it like that but no one used it at all.
