We have a little pyro on our hands here. I like this. And I chose green because it was one of the 3 primary colour (red, blue, and green (for light not paint)).

On that note... why does red and green light make yellow (in light) , but yellow and blue make green (in paint)? Is blue like a negative colour or something?

I've always wondered why colours don't mix the same in light and paint.

btw I'm not a Pyro in real life, only in virtual reality etc, like here

I was saying. that its been proven, that purple, as a colour. does not actually physically exist. It is impossible. Do you know why? (obviously not)

The red and blue frequencies are on opposite ends of the spectrum and cannot be combined, since the frequency of the wavelengths are so far apart. But, when you have light of both frequencies in close proximity, the HUMAN BRAIN combines them and CREATES the color purple.

I never said I didn't care - I said I didn't understand what the two of you were going on about. What I meant was that nobody cared that I didn't get it - a joke if you will. But now I do thanks to your better explanation.

And also, purple isn't the only colour that 'doesn't exist' as such. The human brain interprets colour differently than a bee does, or a fly or many other animals. Colour isn't universal. Even different humans perceive colour differently. People with red/green colour blindness for instance. But even people who speak different languages see colours differently, because of the terms given to the colours.

Also there is no need to insult my ability at being a psychologist for 'not caring' about a forum post.

Colour is what you perceive it to be, if you see purple its purple.

Actually its still a blend of red and blue . we just have a name for it.
