Should actually be able to play the latest games on the damned thing unlike my current Laptop that's really starting to get old. Its not bad, and I'm sure if I reconfigured it, it'd be decent, but the specs are just lacking.

So anyway Tizzy says WC3 CSS CoD4 CoDMW2 Quake3 for the RFLan, I'll be wanting all them, cept maybe CoD, sure its pretty awesome but I'm really not fussed if I don't get them, the others are definite. Also looking forward to playing HoN, Prince of Persia (the fourth one) and Sims 3 on it. Maybe some Borderlands, atm my computer struggles with that a bit, I have to play it on low res and I'm pretty sure theres one section that my game just refuses to load, should be good on the new laptop. I'm sure there's more I want as well that I just can't think of right now *shrug*

At this point it looks like I'm just going to hang on to my old laptop. I'll use it for Uni work and storing stuff like Anime. Of course if someone actually wants to buy my old one for a decent price I'll do it as I really wont need to keep it. Thats about it. I'm gonna have no more than a week to get the stuff for my laptop for the RF Lan, it would probably be just my luck that I get a whole load of hours from work that week, lets hope not.

No idea why I'm posting this really, bored and feel like doing something I guess?

No Modern Warfare 2 at RF.
You'll want CoD 4 though.

If you are going to get this new laptop, why don't you reformat your old one and overclock it. That would be fun.

Is that cpu not dual core? If so, that doesn't seem like a very good cpu, my laptop is 2.2ghz dual core which is equivalent to about 4.4ghz, you should get one with dual core, if that isn't dual core... Besides that it looks good, but if you're getting 4gb or RAM make sure you get the 64bit version of Windows 7 because the 32bit version only supports up to 3gb of RAM, so your computer will only be using 3gb of RAM when it has 4gb

Intel Core i5-520M
A new type of processor that has 2 cores and 2.4GHz

Would be better to get an i7

Also, for that price, you are really paying for the Toshiba brand.

Found this laptop, for hundred bucks less. Exactly the same (I think) except for the graphics card, which is by nvidia.

looks good besides it being 16" non-widescreen, its RAM is not extendable, its keyboard isnt backlit and 140gb less storage.

first up, the computer is indeed dual core so no problem there martin, secondly the 32bit windows 7 uses all 4GB, but no more. Some of it is used for the IO reservations of course though.

The other laptop you posted is pretty good emilia, almost the same, but ever so slightly less and doesn't have the expandable memory, which while irrelevant at the moment, I see little reason not to spend the extra $100.

I'll also have the option of using 64bit windows 7 with the expandable RAM to 8GB in the future which sounds pretty good to me.

No Modern Warfare you say? kk, I'll see if I can get my hands on CoD4 maybe, it is good.
