I was hoping to get some feedback from you on how Spectrum is going at the moment.

It is also a great time to ask me any questions you may have.

Throw in some suggestions if you wish!

I would like to request the removal of the positive and negative bars.

They do not encourage posting, which is more than adequate for giving your opinion.

I put time and effort into creating Hero threads for the HoN section and yet almost every single one of them has a negative vote as if they are bad or something and I don't like it.

Like I said, I would do the coding to remove the Negative voting.

I think Positive voting is still ok.
I know some people would rather do that then say "I agree with you" for everything. In the end, I don't think the removal of it altogether will do much difference with the amount of replies because some people do not have much to say.

If someone has done a nice rounded off reply or shown something really good, I think a positive vote is a good thing because it is encouraging for that person.

I like spectrum its friendly and awesome but i think we move to a new forum host one that has lots of space, cpanel and other tid bits. I personally do not like phpbb (i like the whole theme here the host is good) i just think moving to somewhere bigger will open more ideas for the community. The only down side to this all is that most of the popular forum software like IPB and VB are paid and expensive but SMF is free and a very good alternative to those i mentioned before.

To be honest, we don't need anything else on this forum so I am happy with the host.

I believe you meant to say "ten" bucks in your wager, which is amusing as once the post has been deleted you wont have any way of proving that anyone might owe you ten bucks

I have a question for emilia, i'm all for the removal of the negative bar and keeping the positive one. is it possible to remove it altogether for the time being until you figure out how to only have the positive bar, or would the result in losing all the positive bars for everyone because that wouldn't be worth it?

Another suggestion - could we have an adults only section? I'd like to be able to discuss sexology topics and things, like articles by Betty Dodson, but they're not appropriate for a PG rated forum.

Adult section, that could be quite interesting indeed!

How would this affect Porn? would you be allowed to discuss it as long as your not spamming it or being a troll about it? content only no pictures?

I don't really intend to post anything of the sort but i am curious as to how that would affect the rules as i'm fairly sure we don't allow porn here.

It is the forum about anything and everything, So you should be able to post it anyway.
Seeing as the youngest is prolly me that actively views the forum anyways.

I think content only, not necessarily posting of pictures or anything. Academic type rules you know - like in textbooks or actual books.

It is an interesting topic, but it should be left in the Spectrum chat, and not be on the forums.

I'll like to make a suggestion, the visited links colour is bad with the dark background, its almost hard to read at times, well for me at least.

Maybe have it something like this.

I have to agree with derr man, the purple is difficult to read sometimes because it and the background are both dark colours.

Me being 20 something i some adult content but having content like that on here wouldn't suit it but em does have a point.

On another forum I was on, you had to ask the admin for permission to see the adults only board and only members could see the threads and posts.

Another suggestion add a sports sub forum i for one like some sports ;P.
