What is your favorite video game related thing that debut the year you were born?

Something awesome from 1989 and one of my favorite things of all time is the original Game Boy, which debut in 1989. I still have my original grey brick game boy from when I was a kid.

Ok. Look at that... same year for us I never actually owned one of the first game boys But that's not to say I didn't later models. So I would definitely have that on my list.

To be honest, I haven't played anything from my year of birth. But Dungeons and Dragons 2nd edition hit the shelves in 1989. I've never played 2nd edition, but I have played a lot from 3rd onward (mostly 3.5).

What was instore for me when I was born 1997 was Goldeneye on N64.
