Here's a little guide to what you'll need and what to do.

Before the fight
Step 1:
Maxed diamond armor, this means having one piece of armor with the following (protection, blast protection, fire protection and projectile protection) (Feather falling IV on boots is important)

Step 2:
A good sword, and a good bow with sharpness III and power IV or higher, respectively. flame or fire aspect is helpful for extra damage but doesn't affect the enderdragon. a good supply of arrows and a secondary bow is helpful especially if you suck at hitting the ender crystals. making a skeleton experience farm will give you a seemingly endless supply of arrows. a helpful guide on it here



Step 3:
The goddamn Eyes of ender
There are 2 parts to the eye of ender, ender pearl and blaze powder.
Blaze powder is from blaze rods. obviously. which come from blazes... found in the nether. these are dangerous and I'd recommend having an extended fire protection potion which negate any of their fire based attacks.
Someone other than Emilia collect ender pearls, you should have at least 12 for opening the portal and any more are for locating it. I would recommend 20+

Step 4:
Potions!
First of all you'll need a brewing stand, just look up how to make one if you don't know.
These aren't really nessecarry unless you have trouble staying alive or forget to bring food like i did :/.
You'll probably only need regeneration potions and healing potions, but if you want to bring others that's fine.

The End



Despite the hype, the ender dragon is actually very easy to kill.
Step 1:
As soon as you spawn the dragon will be after you, and it doesn't particularly help that you spawn on an obsidian platform NOT connected to the island. so Bring blocks and pickaxes to get to the island and for all your sakes make sure your crouching or the dragon will knock you off into oblivion.

Step 2:
Once you make it to the island though its smooth sailing just keep an eye on the dragon and take out the crystals on the obsidian towers with arrows.

Step 3:
Keep you eyes in the sky at the dragon!
DON'T LOOK AT THE GROUND as the chances are you'll cross eyes with an enderman, than another and another and you'll get destroyed by like 20 endermen.

This is long i know, and its not a comprehensive guide but i hope it helped.

Terrence (YAY I SPELT IT RIGHT ) always goes off by himself anyway because he is sooooo smug. Walked off. Found a temple. Took all the loot.

Dave and I had a full set of iron stuff and I had a bow with power I. We walked into a cave system that had things walking in from every direction. I saved him from a rouge skeleton and took a bit of damage. That is when the creeper dropped in.

Well, I was alive for no more than a minute.

I walked 10m from my spawn in broad daylight only to be jumped by a zombie with an enchanted iron sword and 2 skeleton archers waiting under a tree to ambush me.
