I think they were trying to connect it with 'iPod', but, yeah, it was stupid. Why not iTablet?

The idea seems kind of... specialist to me. Like, it's too big for an iPod touch, but too small and not powerful enough for a computer. It's somewhere in between. And while it could be good for some people (like businessmen as a clipboard replacement), it just doesn't seem... practical to the general public. Really, really cool, however. I'll admit that

I found out it doesn't even have a USB port. Now that's stupid.

It's a cool step towards the classic 'holopad' idea in sci-fi books and movies, but my laptop still SH!TS all over this thing.

It runs off the iPhone operating system. Like Emily said, it doesn't have a USB port, nor much else that makes it compatible with anything. It's trying too hard to specialise and not be useful with anything else. And looking at the specs, the processor is something I've never even heard of, "Specially designed" by apple. >.>

Yeah, that's so no one copies it, but I bet 6 months down the track, Windows will bring out something very similar.

So basically the iPad does everything my first generation iPod Touch does, only with a bigger screen.

When i first heard of it, i thaught apple brought out a menstrual range o.O

I think the iPad is a good gadget to have, but its one of those things that no one really needs. There's nothing really new about it and there are other, better things to buy to replace it, like a laptop touch screen computer, which actually has usb ports lol.

Its just another gadget that the rich people and apple freaks will buy to make themselves feel special.
