The Brain Tumor
You have a brain tumor. Though there is no discomfort at the moment, this tumor will unquestionably kill you in six months. However, your life can (and will) be saved by an operation; the only downside is that there will be a brutal incision to your frontal lobe. After the surgery, you will be significantly less intelligent. You will still be a fully functioning adult, but you will be less logical, you will have a terrible memory, and you will have little ability to understand complex concepts or difficult ideas. The surgery is in two weeks.

How do you spend the next 14 days?

If I was really faced with this dilemma it's extremely doubtful that I would be a free man or alive by the 14th day.

Stockpiling all the things I know I'll be incapable of collecting with my lower intellect so I can still be somewhat self sufficient while I drink or smoke myself to my death bed I guess

Or the more likely outcome of taking 6 months of my intelligence with me to my grave happily.

No where neat the hospital, with no intention of ever setting foot in that OR!
