How is this thread not deep and meaningful?

Basically, this article is showing that liars will eventually get caught.
On Can of Worms, they asked if lying is good for a relationship and I say no.

Lies always come to the surface eventually. His lie got surfaced in the worse way. How can it be good for a relationship when it is just going to cause trust issues.

People are always afraid of telling the truth and I don't understand why.

So true. Less lies, less issues.

One number one thing I dislike in a person is lying. There are exaggerations, and crap, but down rite lyres piss me off.

Lying to someone is twice as hard as just telling the truth. Sure some situations where lying will help for that moment, but keeping up a lie will just bury you deeper and deeper.

(there we go, back on the deep track)

I disagree. I think it is easier to lie. People want to keep other people happy. That being said, I hate lying and liars and I always tell the truth. People know how I am thinking and feeling. I don't keep it locked away. People who can't deal with that aren't worth my time.

A strong relationship should be able to survive from a bad truth. But a lie that is revealed later can rip a strong relationship to shreds.

I used to believe that it was ok to lie in a relationship if it kept everybody happy, but now I believe it less and less.

I think its ok to tell a few white lies, but if it is anything more serious than that, it shouldn't be done. If you are in a truly great relationship you shouldn't have to lie, the truth will always be the best option because it will allow both partners to understand what is really going on and create a much greater level of respect between the two. I don't really see how a truly great relationship full of love could support lies and I think lies tend to build on to each other until the illusion of it all comes crashing down. Better to be totally open from the beginning if you want it to be worth anything and in the end all we will have is our memories and if we look back and see it full of lies it won't be that good.

Life is too short to waste with lies and deceit.

I fully agree.

If someone knows things about you that are lies, you aren't giving 100% to that person or the relationship.

Your life only exists because others see you living it. Why give someone a false account of yourself? Then it's only a false reflection of you.
