read something fun, like learning another language or something, im learning Norwegian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese. thats always fun then you go find a random forum (i use devi-art ) and make a complete tool of myself trying to type there language. well Other than that mechanic or science stuff, normal books bore me but i dont think you would find them appealing...

Plan B for me is going ad watching those Japanese games shows on youtube, there alway funny like human tetris

Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events are much deeper than regular kids books, and actually really well written. And horribly depressing.

Also, Orwell's 1984, Huxley's Brave New World, Zamyatin's We and Levi's Periodic Table. I like dystopias.

And there was a book by Mark someone called The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, which was good, from memory.

Also, Deltora Quest. I love Deltora Quest.

1984 is good but not really good for unboring people, i found it drags along a bit!
How about A game of thrones by george r.r. martin!!! it is however a bit graphic
If you're after young adult books i recommend john marsden or philip pullman both are good authors.

Pullman > Marsden anyday, I reckon. Pullman's books are so much cleverer. And yes, apparently that's a word, it hasn't got a red squiggle under it.

And I understand that the section of 1984 that's the excerpt from the manifesto could be considered boring, but it's only a short book overall, and unless you're interested in the politics behind it then you can essentially skip that section. It is a tragedy, however. Similar to Snicket, in that sense.

Oh i still enjoyed it, enough to read it twice but i just think it wasn't my style normally i prefer an entertaining book to a d&m one however these don't need to be exclusive! and i also like Antony Horowitz, Bryce Courtany,Val Mc Dermid, John Fowles, Andy McNab, Chris Ryan and Steig Larsson. Like i said some more for fun some more in depth!

I like Raymond E Feist, but I've only read Magician. Also Ursula le Guin. Oh, and no one's said George R.R. Martin yet. Yes, he's done stuff other than ASOFAI, and it's all good.

The first book of Twilight is ok. But, the more you read, the more you wish Bella was real so you could give her a slap on the face.

I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey, just to see what the fuss was about. This book really isn't suitable to be talked about on this forum, but of the bits and pieces I did read of it, the fact people like this book means there is a lot of messed up people in the world...

There's actually a lot of blood and gore and destruction and pillaging and smite in the Bible. The Old Testament is rather good. It was Jesus who did the boring stuff, before that there was just killing and sinning.
