Not quite as deep and meaningful but a serious topic none the less, here are two videos which i saw a while back and recently re watched them and couldn't agree more. how did you feel about your education and do you think you could have benefited from a different system of education.

The thing I didn't like about doing Art at school was that we have to show how we planned things.

Everything we had to come up with had to be influenced by something else and some other artist.

It wasn't good enough that we actually came up with something ourselves.

That really stopped creativity.

Those videos certainly bring up some meaningful points about the current state of education and I have to agree that it does need improvement. Our society has changed a lot and yet we seem to have the same education system. These videos reminded me of another video I saw a few weeks ago on the Escapist entitled Gamifying Education and it was basically a discussion of how education can be improved with game design techniques, I think this video brought up some smart ideas as well.

If you found this episode interesting I highly reccomend the entire Extra Credits series, they post a new video weekly about different Video Game related topics, its definitely something to look at.

Wow that is an amazing idea! If i had that though out school. I think i may have actually been bothered to try! I would really like to see this implemented in schools.
