I'm just wondering but say you take your computer to a computer store and while they r fixing it (for whatever problem), they discover you have like illegal things on your computer (ie. TB's and TB's of tv shows, movies, games and programs) can u actually get in trouble for that? as in because its illegal content can they inform the police or whoever?

That's a good question.

Technically, they are not allowed to do that. They are supposed to be only looking at the things that are wrong with your computer. Going to the place where your music is...both you and they know the problem isn't going to be there.

The things I would be more worried about is them looking through personal details or copying files for their own use, because I have heard stories about computer guys doing that.
