I stand

Hate sitting next to people i don't know, i restricts me wanting to look outside at stuff.

I can't read whilst standing up.

I just don't like sitting next to people who feel obliged to talk to you. I don't want to talk to them. They don't want to talk to me. Why bother forcing it?

Upfront: My city doesn't really have public transportation, so this is something I think I'd do.

I think it would matter on the length of the ride. If its just a ride like around school campus, I might stand then.

But I think I'd sit, as long as I could find a sexy little momma, or someone I wouldn't mind if I have to talk to them. But I would also odds are be listing to music, or browsing the web on phone.

But I have a car so this question is null for me.

I sit down! listen to my music, make faces with people and occasionally draw!

and if there is someone who'd like a seat... I get up =D

People don't usually talk to you.

That is true... I tend to talk to them haha (just kidding.. not anymore )

haha nah, I used to talk to the other people on the train like "Hey you dont mind if I draw a picture of you do you?" then do a nice sketch then say "You can have it if you want? sorry I dont do you justice, you look a lot better then my picture." (When I was single)

But these days I keep to myself, or just talk to my friends if there with me, but on the bus... conversations always start in between two strangers... ALWAYS!! (sometimes im one of those strangers... but I didnt start the conversation)

But the awkwardness when you can't really move away from someone, so you just sit there and talk.. cos if you look away they give you that weird look like "Heeeyy.... did you want to taaalk??" o.O

I sit down next to the stranger and read a book, except at the moment I don't have anything to read...

I will only stand instead of sitting down if I'm not going very far, but even then you could argue whats the problem sitting next to a stranger for such a brief period of time?

What I don't like, is when people stand near the doors of the buses and trains instead of making room for other people, its okay if you're getting off soon, but all too often people are not.

The trains at perth during peak our are like filled with people, but the idiots are actually just standing in the small 'clearing' like area in front of the doors, when I see this I go straight in, through the group of people, politely requesting they get out of my way, and go down 'isle' of seats to somewhere about the middle and put my stuff down while I stand up.

People in Perth trains refuse to squish up next to each other too. If people squished we wouldn't have a problem with people being unable to get onto trains.

I don't talk to other people on public transport, I just listen to my ipod or read something.

Yeah. I hate that people don't move down the train. It pisses me off

I usually sit down next to the stranger, I have np doing that like the rest of you people and I don't know why some of you are saying that you feel like you have to talk to these people. You don't have to do that
