Hello everyone,

Two particular members (you know who you are ) have given me an idea to start a competition.

Create your own Spectrum banner.

It doesn't have to have the font I use in my banner. It can be anything you like that captures the spirit of Spectrum.
It can be no bigger than 800 x 250px

Please upload your photo and send the link as a personal message to me.
Everyone will get the opportunity to vote for the winner. From personal experience, from another forum, I don't want this to be a popularity contest, so please do not post your entries here. When the time comes to vote, no one will know who has made each banner.

Please get your entries in by August 7th. After this, no entries will be accepted. Voting will start the next day.

1st place: 250 EXP plus their banner will be featured on the site for 2 weeks.
2nd place: 100 EXP
3rd place: 50 EXP

Everyone that enters will receive 20 EXP.

It doesn't matter if you are no artist. Open paint and have a go

That can be an example - of both how to not read the rules and an example banner

exactly..... and sadly i quite liked that one.

btw, to anyone thinking of making stuff - and since i cant edit posts in this section - that was made using paint.net

hrm... tough choice here

I'm really impressed by entry number 2, but I just can't help the feeling that its overdone, too fancy, or not simple enough?

number 1 and 4 feel like a good balance of simple and attractive like the current awesome banner's that Emilia has made

so I'm still deciding...

It's funny how my banner is a trial banner and people like it

Ahh balls, should have jumped on Photoshop earlier. Anyway, #4 gets my vote hands down. Simplistic, smart, and reflects game-ness

- why 2 spectrums?

Entry 2:
+ Bright & colourful
- My eyes it burns!

Entry 3:
+ Funny as all hell
- Word art you say?

Entry 4:
+ Clever and Interesting
- Doesn't stand out that much.

+ Clean, neat and simple
- Waaah no spectrum?

I disagree with 4 & 5

The writing stands out really well on 4.

The spectrum is there on 5. It is swirled into each other.
