Emilia, I just beat HL2: EP2 the other day (did the others a while back). I know that you are playing it now, and I know that, when you're finished playing it, you'll want to talk about it. So, without giving anything away, I'm just going to leave this thread sitting here until you're ready to post your reaction, and, so I can post mine without giving anything away and feeling like a total nerd. Even though I am a total nerd. But you'll see that I mean

Ya, a new engine is probably the better way to go. If they do decide on doing that, I hope my PC can handle it when it comes out.

Nah, I think they'll do an EP3 on a veerrrrrry improved Source engine, then HL3 on a new one, but don't hold your breath for either of them

Yeah, but even though Dog saves it, it's just so... gruesome and horrible, and especially because you couldn't move anywhere and all you could see it  Alyx's screams. The bit that really got to me was when Eli told Alex to look away.

Combine Advisers - you see them in the Citadel in HL2, remember? The big thing on the monitor. As far as we know (we = HL2 nerds) they are the leaders of the Combine.

Oh yeah, her storyline was quite a shock. I actually thought she had turned to the dark side but she was undercover the whole time. Clever.

The cliffhanger for the end of HL2 was HUGE. I was like...omg...playing Episode 1 NOW!

I just played through Episode 2 again last week trying to earn the space man achievement, i took the little freak all the way to the rocket and placed him inside then left to launch the rocket....then i dont get the achievement and find out you have to close the door (and of course the game autosaved over all close save files)....FML
Cant wait for Ep 3 though, man i want to avenge poor Eli, and go on an advisor killing spree.

ahhhh damnnnnnn that sucks, I think i'll have to do that achievement myself soon. Do you have to put him into the rocket like when you see Lamarr jumping around in there? And how do you take him when you're driving?

Yeah he inserts nicely in there, i believe that is why they say the rockets weight is wrong when the launch sequence starts, think about it!
Driving is gay, best thing to do is place the gnome on the boot of the car, accelerate and then hold space and brake hard, he seems to get wedged into the air and mostly stays still, unless you drive into a tree at a high speed.
There might be a better way, but I don't know of it.

I'll have to give it a go good challenge . And I thought that that may be because I never saw Lamarr get out of the rocket, but I could have just missed it - your idea is better than mine
