So according to this, when it comes to buildings:

England: Ground Floor, First Floor
America: First Floor, Second Floor
Australia: Ground Floor, Second Floor

So if you scream there is a fire on the first floor, be careful which country you are in, because in England and America, they will go to the wrong floor and in Australia, they will let you burn and die, because you are in idiot: there is no first floor.
