I don't see anything wrong with that, it sounds like a good idea to me for all of the reasons that the article said and I don't really see it as a form of cannibalism either because the human genes are being produced outside of the human body from what I understand, its not like they are harvesting live humans to make this gelatin.

Human insulin is made from bacteria. They put the human gene into the bacteria and it made insulin and people use it everyday. Unlike how it used to be, where you had to use a pig's insulin.
