Today i made a cake especially for my friends at Spectrum

These are the ingredients i used; cake mix, eggs, milk, butter, food colouring.


I then placed the cake mix, eggs, milk and butter into a bowl and mixed.


I then divided the mixture into six bowls and then added colour according to the rainbow.


I then poured each colour into the cake tin and let it bake for 40 minutes.


I then made the icing and covered the cake in it (im crap at icing).


Just a finishing touch (first time doing this).


Finish product, it was delicious!

Wow! The inside of that cake looks sooooooo cool. How did you get the colours to form rings and not just mix up together?

yeah that is pretty cool, I think he just poured each colour on top of each other at the middle, each layer would spread out making a smaller circle each time I guess

I spose, but I know that I'd still definitely screw it up.

I think I shall make mine using Mum's recipe for lemon cake. It is so yummy.

I'll recommend everyone to make a Spectrum cake, its soo worth it and looks very awesome in the end, just remember to use a white or a vanilla cake, might be better with a proper recipe but i was lazy and used a cake mix

Only colours you need is red, blue, and yellow, Cause red + yellow = orange, blue + yellow = green, and red + blue = purple, we just had the a green colouring in the pantry as well.

Mijy & Emilia's Spectrum Cake

We made a Lemon Butter Cake from scratch.


We made uneven divisions of the cake mixture. We noticed with Matt's that there was very little red but tonnes of purple. So we decided to try so that the outside colour had the most mixture and worked our way into the middle which had the least mixture.
